See? Blogs are useful and productive!! Sometimes. From the Ottawa Sun:
Beneath the photograph of a blond woman, her arms outstretched in a goofy pose, are her latest musings about life as a university student.
"I wrote math test 3 of 4. I think I did pretty well with it, but let me tell you, I was super nervous heading into that test," writes Lauren Gasewicz.
On the same site is a posting by Greg Aulenback, a fourth-year Bachelor of Arts film studies student, who laments the recent humid spell.
"We're in the middle of another heat wave in Ottawa. Thank goodness I now have an air conditioner."
The entries may not have the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster, but Carleton University is banking on the trendiness of blogging to recruit students.
Carleton is not alone. Post-secondary institutions around the world are hopping on the blog wagon. However, the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College do not offer student blogs on their websites.
