A man is dead after a construction accident on the grounds of Parliament Hill.
Paramedics tell CFRA News that the man was operating a backhoe on the east part of the property when the vehicle plunged about 200 feet down a steep embankment.
The victim was thrown from the backhoe. Authorities say they were able to reach the man quickly and performed CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's name has not been released. Police and the Ministry of Labour have been called in to investigate.
